(29:50) USA
Set in the early 1950s in rural, post-war Alabama, Trade Day is the story of 8-year-old
Jack, his grandfather, J.B., and three old friends who, for as long as anyone can remember,
have gathered once a month to trade in the town square. Jack is invited to his first trade
day and observes the ritual bartering, storytelling and bickering. Practical or precious
possessions are traded away this month only to be traded back the next. And this is a trade
day like countless others, until something new appears, something that will force J.B. to
face a secret he has buried deep in his heart.
