(26:30) Chicago, IL - Student Film - Columbia College Chicago
Tampico is a documentary short that chronicles a woman's struggle to support herself and her 50-year-old mentally challenged brother, by playing their family's traditional music in the subways of Chicago.
As the last member left to perform her family's music, Tampico inspires commuters as they travel through her world. Raised in low-income housing on Chicago's Near West Side, Tampico is an original, Chicago icon. Tampico tells the story of the choices people make -- complicated choices -- that inform who they are and where they come from.
