If the Festival is in Sacramento, why do we send our submissions to Rancho Cordova?

Though the Festival will be taking place in the heart of Sacramento, the selection panel is stationed in Rancho Cordova which is just East of Sacramento.

What kind of films and videos do you select for screening?

Selections will be made based upon quality in form and content, without consideration for specific genres.

What theatre will you be screening at this year?

The Festival will be at the Crest Theatre.

Why is the Festival no longer called the 17th ACB Sacramento Film and Music Festival?

The Festival programmers decided that the full name was causing too much confusion so they decided to drop the first part and just have the name be the Sacramento Film and Music Festival.

What are the chances of my film being selected for presentation at the Festival?

It really all depends on how many submissions we receive, the screening time available, and the number of screenings of each film. But we figure that the submission fee is low enough to make the risk affordable.

Your festival is called the Sacramento Film and Music Festival, so does that mean the films you accept have to be music-related?

Not at all. There are no restrictions on the types of films we'll consider for selection. Which isn't to discourage anyone who wants to submit a music-related film from doing so.

What is the Sac Music Seen?

Sac Music Seen is a speical film program in which local directors and local musicians partner up to create music videos, showcasing both filmmaking and musicianship, which is what the Festival is all about.

Do you accept band submissions?

Though we do not have an official band submission policy, we will accept CDs or tapes of musical acts interested in performing at this year's event. Send CDs or tapes, along with all relevant information, to our mailing address.

I'm having problems downloading the entry form. What's wrong?

The entry form is a PDF file and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print it. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader here. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader and are still having trouble, you could try closing the entry form window and reopening it. If that doesn't work, try right clicking on the Entry Form link and selecting "Save Target As..." when the pop-up menu appears. This will allow you to open the file from your disk or hard drive. Why did you create a page of mock FAQs?

We were just trying to have a little fun with the conventions of FAQs. We hope we haven't confused or annoyed anyone... at least not too much.
