When a famed puppeteer gets a disturbing phone call from his fiance he rushes home to learn a guest bedroom light has mysteriously been turned on. While questioning his fiance's memory the bedroom light suddenly goes out. After a brief search they discover it is a bad light bulb. How wrong they are. After retiring for the evening they are quickly gassed by an intruder. They awaken to find themselves strung up in a life size puppet contraption, made of wire cables and pullies. The intruder begins to methodically torture the two, both psychologically and physically. However, as things take a turn for the worse, one starts to question who's really pulling the strings.
