It's either chance or fate when John Doe and his pal Anti end up on the side of a highway in the middle of Nowhere, Arizona -- twice. A bloody nose, a missing pinky, and a body result from a broken down car and a $134 bet. All John wanted was a ride to town, but his wily pal Anti has a theory about predestination and a knack for finding trouble.
