Recently widowed, Bernie Joiner is convinced by an overzealous headstone salesman to purchase an expensive companion monument for both his deceased wife and himself. Soon after, he meets Sylvia, a woman jealous of Bernie's permanent link to his previous wife. Bernie struggles between moving forward in a new relationship or waiting to join his previous wife in heaven.
