My Last Confession is set in the late 1960s and takes place entirely in a Catholic Church. It tells the story of thirteen-year-old Danny Riley who, along with his Mother, is waiting in the nearly empty church one evening to go to confession. Danny is fascinated by the church customs of the times. Danny’s flippant manner disguises his apprehension about confessing the most grievous sin of all – “impure thoughts and deeds."
